City of London Club

Originally established in 1832 and operating within a Grade II listed building, this is the oldest club of it’s kind based in the City of London. The project involved adding an additional floor and various internal alterations, renovations and refurbishments. In terms of the vertical transportation there is a two-car group of passenger lifts and three electric goods only trolley lifts. Completed 2021.

Services

Full consultancy duties following RIBA plan of work stages 4 through to 6.

Particular Challenges

  • Specifying the three trolley lifts was a bit of a challenge. These are absolutely key to the operation of the building ensuring catering and other service functions are well serviced in terms of lifts. The lifts needed to fit within the existing lift shafts and with one lift with reduced number of levels served.
