Job Title: Field Consultant
This job role is for a driven individual to provide professional engineering surveying services across a range of lift equipment and installations. This includes lift condition surveys, maintenance audits, technical reporting, client support, and project oversight for modernisation and replacement works.
This job opportunity is for a full time role with a competitive salary plus benefits, including a company car.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Carry out lift surveys and condition assessments in line with company and industry standards.
• Perform maintenance audits and provide detailed, accurate reports.
• Support passenger release training and other on-site technical interventions.
• Monitor site progress, attend reviews and assist with commissioning activities.
• Oversee and report on lift modernisation and replacement projects.
• Liaise with clients to provide clear, professional advice and updates.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant health, safety, and industry regulations.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of all inspections and communications.
Required Experience & Skills include:
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience within the lift industry with good knowledge of industry standards including EN81 standards and codes of practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of a wide range of lift equipment and systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Effective time management and ability to work independently.
• Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook & IT in general with reporting systems using phone apps.
• Personable, professional, and confident when dealing with clients and contractors.
• Knowledge of escalators beneficial but not essential.
Licences, registrations and qualifications:
• BTEC or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
• NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Lift Engineering (or equivalent).
• Full UK driving licence required.
Training provided:
• An induction to the company.
• On the job training for the first month.
• Allocated colleague who will act as a buddy for the first 6 months for help and assistance
